Unable to install Windows 8 even though XD bit is enabled

Hi, I have a weird issue when trying to install Windows 8 as a guest. When I boot the system, the black screen with the Windows logo appears for a minute or two, and then I get a message telling me that I have to restart my computer, with the error 0x0000005c.

After researching a bit, I found out that I have to enable the XD/NX bit on the BIOS of my computer in order to install W8 or 8.1, but when I tried to do it I found out that the XD bit was already enabled. I tried disabling it and got the same message. Any help with this? Is this a common issue? Thanks!

EDIT: I'm running Windows 7 x86, if that's any help.

Your processor also has to have the XD bit capability, too. You'll need to check it with the manufacturer.

Is it really Win8 (32bit?) ? Or is it actually Win8.1(64.bit)? And if so, what template did you select in the VM settings?
