Host w/Two Network Adapters

My guests are set to NAT and work fine with my host. Win 7 shows the Virtualbox Ethernet adapter alongside its two other adapters. But how is the determination made as to which real network adapter is used by the Virtualbox adapter (and ultimately, the guests)? My Win 7 host is on two different networks, and I would like to know how to tell Virtualbox which of those two networks to use. How is this mapping of networks accomplished and controlled?

If you use NAT, I believe the host will pick any connection available. I am not aware of any way to select one over another.
If you use bridged mode you can control which host NIC is used from the network center on the host. Which NIC is used depends on the check marks in the virtualbox bridged networking driver in the NIC's properties.

There is also the feature described in the user manual
Binding NAT sockets to a specific interface, which has in the past struck me as something which might do the job. However, I did fail in my brief attempt to use it, and I never found time to play more with it since then.

Excellent, thanks. Bridge mode is what I was after.
