Window Size Issue Please Help!!

When I boot into a VM Vbox opens it in a VERY small window as shown here:
When I try to resize it just lags out and snaps back when I release the mouse. If I switch to scaled mode (guest additions is installed on all my machines) the VM simply disappears, its still open and running, but you can't see it anywhere. Finally, when I try to use full screen mode the VM crashes and displays an error message "The instruction at 0x000000000 refrenced memory at 0x000000000. The memory could not be written".
Not sure exactly whats causing this, and couldn't find anything like this anywhere on the internet. Every one of the VM's I have worked great, I used them all everyday. I decided to do a fresh install of windows on my host a few weeks ago, all my VM's were already installed onto my mass storage drive so I didn't have to worry about backing them up or anything. Got windows freshly installed on my host computer, installed all the drivers, programs, as well as a new copy of Vbox. I opened up VBox excited to add all my systems and start playing around, only to be met by this window issue which causes Vbox to become totally useless.
This happens with every one of my systems, with the exception of CLI linux servers. I am able to resize the window only in my PfSense Box, my Ubuntu Server, and my Arch server, all of which are command line only, no graphical interface. As far as my graphical systems go, Windows 7, windows 8, windows 2012 server, windows XP, Kali Linux, Arch KDE, Kubuntu, Ubuntu desktop, Linux Mint, open SUSE, all of these systems are unusable due to my window resize issue.
I have tried everything I can think of, reinstalled Vbox, tried creating fresh new systems that didn't come from a previous Vbox install, looked everywhere in the Vbox settings for something that could be causing this, searched all over the internet for someone having a similar issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
