With the latest 4.3.22 release, my Ubuntu 14.04 VM started seeing the eth0 NAT interface bouncing (carrier-changed). I am actually using a USB "pluggable" interface. After switching to bridged and selecting the "pluggable network" adapter, it was stable. Worked on 4.3.20 release.
Anyone else seeing this? I had to switch to bridged and select the pluggable network interface to get things to go again.

Re: carrier-changed disconnecting when using pluggable (USB)
I'm having a very similar issue. I have a wired and a wireless network on my Windows host - then with Ubuntu 14.10 installed I am finding that my NAT network interface goes down and up again every couple of minutes due to "carrier-changed".

There's no need to keep flogging a dead horse. The issue (and its solution) has been discussed enough already.
