[SOLVED] Since VirtualBox 4.3.14 always resize screens vm
Hello! From VirtualBox 4.3.14 I can´t upgrade because at start of all VM resize the screen to a minimun size and can´t work. I try all releases and and always downgrade to VirtualBox 4.3.12 the lastest release that can work fine. I try multiple ways to resolve the problem and nothing. Attach my VBox.log, what can happen??
Thank you for the support.

this is a problem, from your log…
In the VirtualBox preferences, Display, make sure "Maximum Guest Screen Size" is set to "Automatic".
Code: Select all
00:02:32.073760 UIMachineView::storeGuestSizeHint: Storing guest size-hint for screen 0 as 292x69

Does Full Screen (Host+F) work and is "Auto-resize Guest Display" (Host+G) enabled?

"Auto-resize Guest Display" don´t work. Full screen work but when return to normal size and error crash de VM (Attach image).

I think I have the same problem: youtu.be/6Ay9zebk5TQ (I can't post URLs yet)
I'm on Windows 7. It does this for every guest. The Maximum Guest Screen Size option doesn't change anything.

Re: Since VirtualBox 4.3.14 always resize screens vm
Attach the VBoxStartup.log of this VM.
Re: Since VirtualBox 4.3.14 always resize screens vm
Attaching VBoxStartup.log and VBox.log in zip format because the size is bigger than 128 Kb.

Re: Since VirtualBox 4.3.14 always resize screens vm
Are you running VirtualBox in compatibility mode?
Open Registry Editor, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags and search for any references to VirtualBox.exe, in all the child keys (Layers, Compatibility Assistant\Persisted). If you find anything, come back here an tell us what those settings are. Close all VirtualBox instances, remove the compatibility settings and try to see if your problem is solved.

I can´t find anything, I´m not running in compatibilty mode
Re: Since VirtualBox 4.3.14 always resize screens vm
That registry key doesn't exist for me. I don't think it is using compatibility mode.

Re: Since VirtualBox 4.3.14 always resize screens vm
Crash VirtualBox by going full screen and use Process Explorer (run as administrator) to create a minidump of the crashed process, compress it and upload it on sendspace.com (it's a clean web site). The crashed VirtualBox process is usually the one with the biggest memory usage (if you're running one VM), but if you have the knowledge to do it, you can identify it by PID.

I think this has the right info, the process sometime closes before I can get Process Explorer to respond and create the dump.

Re: Since VirtualBox 4.3.14 always resize screens vm
Does it crash if you disable 3D acceleration for your VM? Attach here a VBox.log file for that VM.
Try removing the Raptr (in-game overlay) program, it has a dll present in the VirtualBox process (ltc_help64-91954.dll) and maybe it's the cause of your problems.
