Maybe you should peruse some of the comments about CleanMyMac.
I don't know which version you use but the latest one offers to install itself into Applications on first launch. Which if accepted, could cause all sorts of issues.

I end up getting it going..

Still having trouble ending instances of VB on Mac its not showing up in activity monitor but still on the dock as active.. When using VB it opens multiple unused instances ..
