VirtualBox 4.3.20 Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack

im not able to instal this i get error saying that it dont match tried sevral extension packs they all do the same as far as i know i got the latest version of vb
the original problem i have is that
i cant get the usb function to work and after reading several post on that i wanted to try to install the extension pack first my host is wind 8 all usb 3.0 ports on the cpu

im new to all this so any help is appriciated

There's no need to try several extension packs, just install the correct one. I.e. the one whose version matches the version of VirtualBox you've installed. It would help if you gave some clue as to the latter question.

the problem is im sure i tryed the right one at first and it gives me error code saying that it dont match tryed it several times
im at work right now so i cant be more specific about the error code

i can go deeper in to the usb problem but from what i have red the extencion pack has to be installed so i wanted to start there

If the title is correct and you really are running VirtualBox 4.3.20, then it's the 4.3.20 extension pack which you need to install. If it doesn't install then I need the exact error message.

Your extension pack is the latest version, VirtualBox is not. Get the latest from https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads

So the topic title is not correct.

If you want to continue running VBox 4.3.10 then you need to download and install the extension pack 4.3.10.

Or, you can upgrade to the latest version as Socrates suggests, however I myself wouldn't recommendt doing that until the hardening issues have settled down. I would stick with 4.3.10 or 4.3.12 at most.
