Guest Additions Not working on a Windows 8.1 host

I have created a windows 7 64b virtual machine. On a windows 7 host thw VM works fine. When i copy the VM to a Windows 8.1 host Guest additions are not working after a reboot of the VM.
After re-install off the guest additions it seems to work. But after a reboot or shutdown/Startup the problem is back.

Log files added. see previous post reply. After a reboot some times the guest additions are available/working again. just happend with my prov14 virtual machine.

VM Prov14 log added. Log is after restart vm. virtualbox additions where working ok after this restart.

None of those is the log which the instructions asked you to provide. We need ONE VM log: right click VM in GUI, select "Show Log", save "VBox.log" (only) to a file, zip file and attach here. Make sure the VM is shut down before you collect the log of the session.

It isn't clear to me what "Guest Additions are not working" means. The GAs provide many features, such as mouse integration, shared folders, and accelerated graphics.

What precisely doesn't work on the second host?

I do notice that you have enabled 3D acceleration in the VM. This requires working OpenGL drivers on the host, so it may be worth checking if your host graphics drivers are up to date.

Functions like shared folders en clipboard intergration do not work and the icon is not shown in the taskbar. After a reboot of the vm every works Fine.
My settings do not show that 3D is enabled. Screenshot is added in this post.

I suggest that you upgrade to 4.3.24, which fixed a problem with shared folders. Remember to update the GAs too.

With 4.3.26 it still those not work correctly on the first startup of the VM . After a restart of the VM everything works fine.

Shared folders and the shared clipboard absolutely work on a Windows 8.1 host. Before VB 4.3.24 and after VB 4.3.24.
