Shared items not showing up in VBOXSVR

Running Windows 10 Technical preview (64bit) in VirtualBox 4.3.2 on a Mac mini with OSX 10.9.5.
I installed guest additions using compatibility mode for windows 8, and have set the desired folder to be auto-mounted. I've typed in the "x: \\vboxsvr\shared" (the name of the folder), as well as opened "VBOXSVR" itself. I'm just a lay person trying to get windows on his Mac, so maybe I'm missing something obvious. I would really appreciate some help.
