Network Issue with Ubuntu Guest on Windows 7 Host

I spent 2 days setting up Ubuntu Guest on my Windows 7 laptop Host and it works super fine.
Then I copied the Virtual Box to my office PC and I can't make Ubuntu get access to the Internet.
I used bridged network - the same setup on both computers, and I even tried to with Advanced network settings to select
Adapter Type as Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop and Promiscuous Mode to Allow VMs and NOTHING!
I even disabled the firewall and still no luck.
The weird thing is that my host can ping guest and access it's Apache/MySQL services but the guest has no access to anything, it can't ping any address out of the box... like it does not have the route but netstat -rn show that it's GW is OK
Can anybody help, please?

You didn't mention it so I will ask, did you try switching from Bridged to NAT?

Nope, I didn't try the NAT. If my network is 10.0.5.1/24 and GW 10.0.5.1 how should I set the Host network for Internet Access?
Thanks.

You can't get online with the host? I thought your problem was getting the guest online. If you switch to NAT you should be fine unless your host can't get online.

Sorry I meant Guest...
Host is fine (Windows 7).

You'll have to wait until someone who is more familiar with network setups replies. Not my forte.

NAT network mode has a DHCP server built-in, so it should work out of the box. First try with NAT mode and set the NIC in the guest as dynamic IP (DHCP)

If you migrate VM with network adapter set to bridged, you absolutely must fix the network adapter settings of a migrated VM to point to correct physical interface of the host after migration.
The type of adapter emulation doesn't matter. Your VM is trying to access nonexistent host adapter and failing.

Yes, after I migrated the guest I went through Configuration and pointed up adapter to correct NIC.
The NAT mode works fine but I wanted to be able to have my coworkers access the test platform and with NAT it's not working.
Thanks.

When you are using bridged mode, the guest should behave just like any other machine on the network. So debugging network problems is just like it is on a physical network.
The first check is whether the guest is getting the correct network config from DHCP.

I'm not using DHCP. I used a static IP that I'm sure it's free. I recheck a number of times GW, mask and DNS servers.
I can ping and even open hosted web pages on that VirtualBox but the box itself does not have access to any outside IP.
I removed the firewall and even uninstalled and reinstalled the VirtualBox with no results.
As I mentioned, the NAT works fine but only I can access the virtual machine.

You might want to talk to the IT people and see if it is being blocked in some way.

Then you should use some diagnostic tools to see what and where it is stopping and why.
You say that you can access outside URLs while in bridged mode then it has to be something on the LAN that is stopping your LAN clients from accessing the guest.

I would also look at Ubuntu. They have been using a DNS proxy for a while and that might cause an issue I guess.
