VirtualBox 1.6 affects Vista hybrid sleep mode?

Hi,
After using VirtualBox 1.6 for a few weeks, there are various problems, one of which is Hybrid Sleep mode (default powerdown mode) in Windows Vista 32-bit.

When VirtualBox is running, if I press on powerdown in Vista (which is equivalent to Hybrid sleep mode), the state is saved and the PC goes to sleep mode.
However, when trying to resume from sleep mode, the PC doesn't recover and hangs infinitely (no display, no hdd activity)
A reboot will end in a subsequent BSOD when Windows tries to resume the hibernate state.

I'm not sure whether this is 100% caused by VBox 1.6 or not, but I've reverted to VBox 1.5.6 and the problem doesn't happen, and I can go into Hybrid Sleep mode properly and resume even with VBox still running.

Any users encountering the same problem?, I can provide more hardware details if required.

Thanks in advance for any help, as well as for the great product though! :D

Hi,

I'm experiencing the same problem with Windows Vista Business 32-bit host and VirtualBox 2.0.4. With some older versions of VB I've been using (2.0.2 and 1.6.x) it seemed to be the same. I would really appreciate any info or help on this bug!

See this defect. A fix is on its way, but until then don't suspend your machine while a VM is running (with VT-x enabled).
