Hi guys,
I am new on the forum and I need all your help.
I have installed this morning VirtualBox 4.3.20 on my laptop, the OS is Windows 8.1 Pro.
Every time I am trying to install the extension pack I am getting the following error : VERR_ACCESS_DENIED.
Could you please help me in solving this issue. For your information I am administrator of my own laptop but i still can't install the extension pack.
Regards
Patrick

Perhaps the following BugTracker ticket will help.

Hi mpack,
I have just read all the post and unfortunately it does not solve my issue. I am not installing the virtualbox in the "program files" directory but on one names c:\apps. I have full right on this directory and I am also administrator of my computer. the only stuff I haven't tried because I can't it was to disable the anti-virus. I am waiting for the windows sys admin to come back and then I will see with him if it can be done.
Sincerely
Patrick

Hi mpack,
Done, problem solved

. I jut had to get the anti-virus disabled and it worked fine. So like one guy said on the post it is linked to the anti-virus.
So the extension pack is now installed on my laptop.
Thanks
Patrick

I had the same error message on Win7 SP1 64-bit machine. Turned McAfee virus scanner off and Extension Pack installed OK.
