Created Linkedin Clone... Need to change IP Address

Post by ilcaa »

I created a Linkedin Clone and have cloud syncing software running on both (Copy.com, just liked box.com, or any other cloud based sync service)

It seems that only the original VM accepts changes within the synced folder, the cloned linkedin VM doesnt make changes using this syncing software. I assume because it sees the IP address as the same and doesn't treat the cloned VM as a separate machine.

Does the Cloned Linked machine retain all the network address's of the original VM machine? if so, how can I make the cloned linked VM network address identifiers more unique? (change iP address, change MAC address)

please advise, thanks

- You had the option to change the MAC addresses when you made the clone. Did you? If you didn't, don't despair. Open each adapter in the VM Settings, Network and under Advanced, right of the MAC address you can change it to something new (the green button).
- The guest IP addresses depend on the network setup you've chosen. Which one have you chosen? HostOnly? Internal? Bridged? NAT? Do you have them set as static or dynamic?
