Sorry. I've been unclear. The creation of the new VM was done BEFORE I came to the forum. It was a part of my troubleshooting before I started bugging you guys.
Since then, I already successfully completed a chkdsk on Stonehaven Windows.vdi (by way of ERD Commander, same idea as using Hiren's).

I don't know what else to tell you. I'm out of ideas. I hate to be a Kassandra, but I'm guessing that we wouldn't be having this lengthy conversation if you had a backup, right?
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Poo.
Data isn't really the problem. I can still access the data on the VDI and I have the important stuff backed up. It's just SUCH A PAIN to make a new VM, install Windows, install all the necessary software, get my e-mail working again, etc. It would be much preferable to fix whatever broke with my current configuration. If it's undoable or unfeasible, then I can nuke and pave -- but I'd like to avoid that solution if possible.

Can you boot into Windows long enough to check the Event Viewer? There might be some event occurring within Windows to cause it to shut down, and that event would likely be logged.
