Windows CE driver for virtual network adapter - AMD PCnet

Hi everyone,
I am trying to start a Windows CE virtual machine on VirtualBox. I am working both with Windows CE 4.2 and 6.0.
The attempt has been successful so far but I need the drivers for AMD PCnet network controller. Does anybody know where I could get the drivers for Windows CE 4.2 and 6.0? Or could I use any other generic driver to support this controller?
Thanks in advanced!

Both the PC-net PCI II and the PC-net FAST III adapters are available in VirtualBox. You just have to select them if that is what you mean.

Yes, they are available with VirtualBox. However, what I need are the Windows CE 4.2 and 6.0 drivers for those controllers so that Windows CE can support them.

Okay. I wasn't sure. You do know Windows CE is not a supported guest I assume.

you could try this… http://schokothek.at/web-info/amd-pcnet ... ws-95.html

no idea if it works.

Windows CE is customized to the machine it is sold with. It is compiled for that particular hardware, and so has integral drivers. If that machine had an AMD PCNet card (or compatible), then a driver for the card will be included. If not, then it won't be, and I doubt that you will find one.

Standard Windows (95 to XP) included drivers for PCNet, but you probably cannot lift these. Separate drivers for the card were produced for some issues of Windows NT. You could try one of the subdirectories in ftp://ftp.mpoli.fi/pub/hardware/NET/OTHER/ETHERTE1.ZIP. It is just possible that one of those might work, but no promises.

Yes, I know Windows CE it is not in the list of suported gues OSes. However, I am able to launch a Windows CE 6.0 image.
If I include the corresponding drivers in the the Windows CE image, the controllers will be supported and the virtual machine will have ethernet connectivity.

I am creating an Windows CE image that suits VirtualBox.
Some network controller manufacturers, such as Intel, do provide separate drivers for Windows CE. However, I cannot find any in the AMD webpage.
Thanks for the link but it seems they are not valid for Windows CE.

They mght never have produced one. Windows CE was (and is, under a different name) normally used for small devices. As far as I know, the PCNet series was for desktops. You may need to write your own. There is a bit of info at: http://support.amd.com/TechDocs/971hwman.pdf but I suspect you will need a lot more than that, which can only come from AMD themselves and could prove prohibitively expensive. Best of luck!
