Continual reboot when trying to copy XP vbox

Post by LeisureTime »

I built a XP virtual machine under Windows 7 and I want to transfer that to another computer running Windows 7. I thought I had followed all the correct procedures, but when I try to open the XP virtual machine on the new computer it gets into an infinite loop, saying "One of your hard drives needs to be checked". It goes through the check, reboots and does it all over again.

Help please :)

I'm not sure which of the procedures you followed was but, to install a working VM to a new computer, all one has to do is copy the entire guest's VM folder over to the new machine then use "Add Machine" in the VirtualBox settings on the new machine. At least that always works for me.
