I have an older model VuPoint Slide and Film scanner that I am trying to install and use in Virtualbox on my Windows 7 HP laptop. I have VB open and have installed the driver and ArcSoft software from the included Windows XP CD. When I open the ArcSoft software, set my desired setting and attempt to "Acquire data" or attempt to view my slides using the software I get an error stating "Can not find camera. Please connect OmniVision SuperCam!!!!", although the USB scanner is plugged in my computer.
I've tried to use this device on my Windows 8.1 HP desktop as well with not luck - I'm trying to avoid buying a new updated flatbed scanner so this is really my last resort.
