Hi
I am having a problem with my ubuntu server 12.04 virtualBox guest, it could not connect to the wireless network.
What I am trying to do is I want the ubuntu server guest to automatically obtain an IP from the DHCP of my company but if that does not work, will there be a way to specify astatic ip of 192.168.56.1 as shown in the image file to the ubuntu server 12.04 virtualBox guest?
I have provided the image file to show you what my settings look like.

any help will be very much appreciated.
Thank you

Re: My Ubuntu Virtualbox guest cannot connect to network
192.168.56.1 is a host-only network address. You don't want to be using that in bridged mode.
Bridging doesn't always work on a wireless connection, that's just the way it is (especially if you been messing inside the guest with IP addresses from the wrong network).
Is there some specific reason you are avoiding NAT?
