Actually, 4.1.x should be recent enough for this.

Before everyone gets irritated, please answer the obvious question: where did you get that path you used? Are you blindly following some blog, or have you actually looked for your VDI on your host and found it in that folder.

You can settle this doubt quite easily: show a screenshot of that folder containing that VDI.

And not to blow my own trumpet, but if you find the command line difficult to grasp, then perhaps you will have better luck understanding CloneVDI. You'll need Wine to run this on an OS X host. Someone else can no doubt tell you what Wine package is best.

I for one am not irritated.

As I mentioned however the OP's path cannot possibly be correct pre-VB 4.0 or post-VB 4.0. Not unless someone purposely created or moved it there which doesn't seem likely.

for OSX, pre-4.0's default location was $HOME/Library/VirtualBox. post 4.0's location is /Users/username (not in the "invisible" Library folder)

Unfortunately, my keyboard does not have the "Option" key... I'm remoting into the Mac using a Windows box.

Using command line is my preference. Unfortunately, because I cannot browse to the folder location in finder, I cannot drag the path into terminal. I can browse to the location in terminal, and verify the file exists. I'm just not sure the spaces in the file name are being correctly represented in the overall command.

I will post log info and screen shots when I can log back into it.

Tony, it would have been nice if you had mentioned you weren't on a Mac.

To get the actual full path/filename of the disk image, OP could just use thus eliminating the need for all the conniptions that have been suggested.

On mine, I see the following:
Location: /Users/ba2kell/VirtualBox VMs/Virtual Windows 7/Virtual Windows 7.vdi
With that info, I would useI just tried it, and it worked exactly as expected. (I'm using VBox version 4.3.20)

THANK YOU! when I did list hdds, I copied and pasted the path into the command. This worked I believe because it was copied and pasted. After that - resized volume in windows, and bammo..
