License Key problem with virtualBox 4.3.20

Hi,

First of all, I'm sorry for my english !

I worked with Virtual Box 4.2.8 and I didn't have any problem. I got a virtual machine with win xp and my license keys was detected and operational.
But know, I want to create some win 8.1 virtual machines and I need to upgrade my version of virtual box. So, I upgrade to VB 4.3.20 and when I use my virtual machine with win xp, my license keys are detected but not operational.

For example, an application told me than the license key is expired.
Another one just told me than I don't have a license.

Can someone help me please ?

There are many changes you can make to a VM that can influence the activation check, but I'm not aware of any VM changes forced by the move from 4.2.8 to 4.3.20. Did you perhaps make changes to the VM to make it Win8 compatible for the upgrade?

Anyway, this doesn't really sound like a question for us. If XP wants to be reactivated, simply go ahead and reactivate it. If the activation server complains that the CD key is invalid then you need to contact Microsoft about that if you believe that it's wrong.

Maybe I didn't explain my problem correctly.

The VM is not change, I don't have any problem with win XP and I don't want to upgrade it.
My problem is on other applications. Since the upgrade of VB, my applications don't recognize my license on usb key. The usb key is recognize but the licence is not working. If I try this usb key licence on the same VM but with VB 4.2.8 I don't have any problem.

Did is more clear ?

Oh, I see.

In that case I have a suspicion. Try downgrading to 4.3.12. You should still be able to run a Win8.x VM.

Hum... Ok something it's very weird.

I have 3 usb key with license.
I launch one application to launch the others one.
So, the 3 keys are necessary to use the app.
If I launch the app with the 3 keys connected, the app told me than my license is expired.
If I launch the app with only the good usb connected the license is recognized.

I look for connect to the internet because I have a problem with it also.

Shoubaka, did you try going back to version 4.3.12? That's the last version before the security-hardening for Windows hosts that is being worked on, and is the go-to version for getting things working again while the developers work on later versions.

In my runtime attribute I can see that : Guest Additions 4.3.20 r96996

the guest additions and the extension pack should also be 4.3.12.

You don't have to look for them. They are part of the 4.3.12 package. I just meant they need to be installed.

Ok, I just see that this morning,
Now, I need to solve my internet problem.

So, I look on the other workstation, the problem is the same.
I don't touch two the second one but when I look, I got the same problem with the internet and approximately the same with the usb key licenses.
I didn't configure the VM but when I look it appears well done.

I come back to you when I found something.

I tried a new install of VB with no success,
I tried to change my network configuration between NAT, bridged... with no success,
I got an IP address.

On my VM win 8.1 I see the icon cable internet with yellow triangle with write : "no internet access"

Maybe the problem come of the host machine. It's good to know, I got two network cards but only one is cable and I got the internet on the host.
So, I try to install VB on my other computer and go to see what happens.
