Bidirectional clipboard

Post by drs@dcneuro.net »

I am running the current version of VirtualBox in the current OS Yosemite. I have the device settings for clipboard as "bidirectional". Guest additions are installed. Nonetheless, I cannot get text to copy/paste in either direction using simple note applications. what am I missing?

Okay, so I got the copy and paste to work by changing the display setting to seamless mode. However, now when I click on desktop in the task bar, the desktop doesn't show any longer. So I can't get the drag-and-drop to function. By the way, using Windows XP.

drag n drop only works with Linux guests. copy and paste should work with XP without going into seamless mode. Mine does.
