USB Port without driver ?

Post by Rabir »

I'm using a Windows 8.1 apparently my tablet doesn't have driver for that, which i need to update the firmware...
Now i installed Windows 7 on a VB, but i cannot forward the "Unknown USB device" to the Windows 7 (which would know that it is)...
So how can i forward the raw USB port ?

I find it hard to believe Windows 8.1 doesn't recognize your tablet but Windows 7 would. What tablet is it?

You could create a blank USB filter for your Windows 7 guest and see if it picks up the tablet. The tablet would have to be plugged in after the guest was already running.

I found the solution to the usb problems. first you need to re-install Virtual Box as Administrator and secondly install the extention package on the downloads page.
