I have virtual box running minix on my computer but it is too tiny and hard to see. Changing to full screen doesn't scale at all. Any help? Suggestions? Thank you

MINIX is not a supported guest and has no official VirtualBox guest additions. It is based on NetBSD. You might get NetBSD or one of the other BSD flavors of the guest additions to work with MINIX but it's not supported here.

An improved display in VirtualBox is usually provided by Guest Additions, but I doubt that the Additions will run in Minix. This probably means that you are stuck with (what looks like) a 640 x 480 pixel display.

You could try reducing the display resolution on your host to its minimum. Even a large display is likely to have options of 800 x 600 (perhaps) or 1024 x 768 (or x 720). This would cause the Minix screen to fill a larger portion of the display. Of course you would want to swap back after your Minix session was finished.

If you are going to be loading a GUI, then that itself may allow you to enlarge the screen.

There are no GAs, hence fullscreen mode (a GAs feature) is not going to work.

However, if the guest OS supports multiple VESA graphics modes then you can select any of those. Or, you can use scaled mode, which definitely doesn't require any GAs.
