Dear All,

I was trying to install Windows 8.1 on my Virtua Box of my mac. Everything was fine from the begnning until i mounted the image of Win8.1. It seems it fails to attach the harddisk for the image

Here is my information:
Host: Macintoshi OSX Mavericks 10.9.5, Vbox 4.3.8 r92456; Guest Window 8.1 64 Bit

So Here is what I did:
-I ensured that the mounted image was window 8.1 and was inserted. Please note that I tried to insall through VMFusion and it works perfectly.
-I also tested the Virtual Box by installing a freebsd system and it works perfectly as well.
-I checked the Live CD/DVD box and tried with differeint type of IDE types(Primary and secondary for master, slave still doesnt work)
-I configured the boot options order only CD/DVD options and still doesn't work

-I hope this clarifies the issues for this topics. Please kindly advise and help me in this. I've attached the Vbox.logs and Vbox.png(in zip files) as the program advised.
Sincerely,
Dave

You need to install the latest version of VirtualBox (4.3.20) and make sure to select Windows 8.1 (64bit) in the guest settings.
