In order to test a website, I am trying to set up a VM for Chrome OS.
I have managed to get a vdi file from - http://chromeos.hexxeh.net - to work but it is quite old and no longer being updated.
I found an alternative source here - http://arnoldthebat.co.uk/wordpress/chromium-os/ - but it generates the following when I try to run the VM:
early console in decompress_kernel
KASLR using RDTSC...
Decompressing Linux... Parsing ELF... Performing relocations... done
Booting the kernel.
[ 0.000000] tsc: Fast TSC calibration failed
[ 0.216650] atkbd serio1: probe failed
[ 0.3024261 EXT4-fs (sda3): couldn't mount as ext3 due to feature incompatibilities
[ 0.711996] piix4_smbus 0000:00:07.0: SMBus base address uninitialized - upgrade BIOS or use force_addr=0xaddr
Would appreciate any pointers on how to fix this. I am using a Dell Inspiron 15 3521 with 4gb of ram.
Thanks

Re: Chrome OS on Windows 8 host
Chrome is not a supported host or guest. If you have issues you need to ask the place where you got it for help.
