Versions of all, please.
Start VirtualBox in a Console, post Output.
Look into the Logfile at ~/.VirtualBox.
Without Infos from your side nothing is to say. Crystal bowls are defect, astrology hotline costs to much.

well i have xubuntu 7.10 kernel 2.6.22.14 xfce 4.4, Ram memory 512, 32 shared video, cpu AMD athlon xp 2000+, FSB 266, video chip integrated S3 Inc. VT8375 [ProSavage8 KM266/KL266], HDD ide 40Gb 5400rpm, HDD ide 30Gb 5400 rpm.
virtualbox OSE 1.5.0
console dont display any error

From the looks of it, you set up Host Interface but forgot to create a virtual network adapter. With HIF, you need to create it using the VBoxAddIF or VBoxTunctl program. Read the manual on how to do it properly. Once you set the Host Interface, put that name in the Guest VM settings.
