Hello,
I have this usual scenario when I want to go back to blank system (without changes): I stop virtual machine, then delete snapshots and then start virtual machine again.
BUT: Is there any way how to do it on-the-fly? I mean while virtual machine is running to go back to blank system without stoping/restarting my virtual machine? (to revert all changes to default state)
thank you!

Re: delete snapshot while running
Why are you using snapshots for this? I would have thought that was the most cumbersome of all possibilities.
I imagine that most of us will have created a template VM, which has the OS and the minimum set of apps we believe it needs. The least cumbersome way to use that template would be either to (full) clone it before further use, and only use the clones, or simply make a backup of the VM folder for future restoration.
You could also use an immutable drive, but that adds restrictions that I don't find useful.

Re: delete snapshot while running
well, I am trying to find the fastest solution how to go back to "clean" state of my virtual (as it was when I firstly installed it) - and possibly without restarting my current running virtual.
My scenario:
1. I run clean virtual
2. then I install some software in it
3. virtual is continuing running
Now I want to go back to point 1. but wihtout restart (if possible). Maybe this cannot be done - I have no idea so I am asking. (I am looking for this because I need to go to clean state very often and I would like to save every minute when virtual is down - and maybe save system resources when starting virtual again)
