VM are not registered on Talk Talk Router

Hi

I have this problem with Virtual Box and cannot seem to find the answer.

I have a VM setup running Windows 7 with Bridge Network configured. I can set an IP address for my machine, which can be ping'd and connected to via Remote Desktop. I can access the internet through the machine.
But, the machine will not register on my router. I can see all the other devices on my network but not the VM.
I can ping my router from the VM machine and access all features of the router from there.
I have used wireshark and can only see traffic from my VM machine and the host. There is no traffic to the router, so it looks like all the traffic is going through the host. I would like to be able to port forward to the VM but I am currently unable to due to this issue.
Can anyone help me?

Andy

That's because you assigned a static IP address, probably outside the routers range (or even worse, conflicting with it).

Re-enable DHCP, allow the router to assign an IP address, and the router will add the PC to its tables.

Hi

I have this problem whether I use DHCP or assign a static IP. The IP assigned is within the range of the router. When I used Wireshark I could see no direct conversations between the VMs and the router...or any IP other than the host. It looks like all traffic is routing throught the host's IP.
