Musicmatch
Musicmatch
I have used Virtualbox running windows xp for over a year, since Musicmatch no longer plays in newer versions of windows. with the older versions of VB I could set the priority in task manager / details to Above normal and this allowed my music to play without stuttering, with the latest version this doesn't work. I like music playing in the background all the time. I use a 1TB portable hard drive to run VB from, all I have loaded on the VB drive is Musicmatch and my music collection of approximately 100,450 MP3s. Any suggestions on how to get the music to play clean.

Re: Musicmatch
I suppose the obvious solution seeing you don't mind using an older piece of software would be to rollback to the version of VirtualBox that was working for you.

Re: Musicmatch
Thanks for the tip and I installed the version that worked. Now when I open it I get this error message.
Failed to open a session for the virtual machine music.
pci#0: Device in slot 0x30 has been removed! vendor=0x106b device=0x003f [ver=3 pass=final] (VERR_SSM_LOAD_CONFIG_MISMATCH).
Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: Console
Interface: IConsole {db7ab4ca-2a3f-4183-9243-c1208da92392}
I have uninstalled the program several times and reinstalled and get the same message
thanks for the help

Re: Musicmatch
if there is a "Saved state" for the guest, try deleting it. With the guest shut down, right click on it's name in the VB GUI, "Delete saved state". As far as I understand, your shouldn't update VirtualBox while guests are in a Saved State.
