Scroll lock or other scrolling options

I would like to be able to use they keyboard to scroll in ms word. My setup is as follows.
Host is a lenovo T540p running Ubuntu 14.04. Note this computer does not have a scroll lock key.
Guest is Windows 7.
I am running ms office 2013 within that.

I would like to be able to scroll around in my document when I do not have a wheel mouse attached.
Two finger scrolling doesn't work as per my post from a year ago here viewtopic.php?f=7&t=58617
I'd like to be able to use arrow keys to scroll or really any keys for that matter. This seems like a job for scroll lock but there is no such key.
Function C doesn't seem to do anything. The on screen keyboard doesn't seem to help and anyhow its a pretty inefficient solution.
Any other suggestions?

On both a Ubuntu 14.10 host and an OSX host, I turned on ScrLk with the Onboard keyboard and the arrows keys then scrolled.

Make sure in the System settings for the Windows 7 guest the pointing device is set to USB Tablet or USB Multi-Touch Tablet and two finger scrolling should work. Does on mine anyway.

Do you mean turn on scroll lock on the host, rather than the guest? I tried the on screen keyboard within windows with no effect. I opened the "onboard" program in linux and found the key that says "scroll" but not "scroll lock" but that doesn't seem to have any effect either.

As for the two finger scrolling, I can sort of scroll with two fingers, but instead of scrolling in just one direction the window kind of jumps around. Like it will scroll down a few lines and then jump up to around where I started. This is the case both when I select USB Tablet and when I Select USB Multi-Touch Tablet.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

no, I meant in the guest.

You're welcome but I don't know what else to suggest short of reinstalling. I tried it on two very different hosts and it worked for me. As far as two finger scrolling I suppose it could be some quirk of the Lenova or some odd setting for it's trackpad. It doesn't explain why scroll lock doesn't work however. Perhaps it's just a bad install of Ubuntu or Windows.

Attach a compressed copy of the Windows vbox.log.

I have had this problem on two different hosts. I'll try a different windows guest to see if the problem is consistant accross guests. In the mean time I have attached the compressed log file. Its only ~150kb uncompressed.

I just tested this with a second windows guest (the first was an os installed by my old work, the second was a virtualization of the windows that came with the computer) and have the same problem.
Note that both of the two hosts were lenovo computers. The first was a lenovo ideapad z580 and the current is a lenovo thinkpad t540p.

Edit: Added log file for the second guest system.
