Virtual Box constantly crashing.

Post by s1lenc3 »

Hello, I've installed Windows 8.1 x64 on Virtual Box using Windows 7 x64 host OS. Yet it constantly crashes after 20-30~ seconds after starting. Sometimes it takes longer, however, it's just a matter of time. Could you help me out solving this problem? There's 46~ percent of used memory (out of 4GB) before and after using the Vbox, perhaps i should allocate less memory for the VBox (since I've given 2gb)? I've attached the error and log files.

00:00:00.367424 Host RAM: 3914MB total, 1536MB available
00:00:00.491241 RamSize <integer> = 0x0000000080000000 (2 147 483 648, 2 048 MB)
You have more memory assigned to the guest than you have available for one thing.

Thanks, I just found out that it must be in a powered off state instead of saved, in order to adjust the amount of ram. Would've just done that before. Thanks anyway. Cheers!
