New install of Windows 8 (not 8.1 yet). Just installed the Guest Additions, added a shared folder, then restarted. Now, I can't swipe up to log in.
This isn't a touchscreen computer, so there's no physical swiping. With my mouse I can move the login screen picture (looks like Seattle) up as high as I want, but as soon as I let go it just comes back down. Clicking, hitting enter, space, tab, or eventually just mashing buttons - nothing seems to get me to the username/password box underneath.
Aside from keyboard mashing, I've tried changing my pointing device in the settings to PS/2, and disabling keyboard and mouse integration. Neither changed the behaviour.
Anyone know what can be done here? I've installed Windows 8 in Virtualbox before, and haven't run into this.
Thanks,
Chris

Re: Can't swipe up at Windows 8 login screen
If you have the guest additions installed, simply pressing enter or clicking the mouse should bring up the login screen from the lock screen. I have never needed to do anything else.
I would remove the guest additions (from within the guest) and reinstall them in your position.
