I can't start VM (APU AMD)

Hi, I'm trying to create Windows XP 64bit (I chose 1024MB) on my Windows 7 64bit.

When I start VM it is blocked on "Creating process for virtual machine" (GU/Qt)....(1/2)

It remains always on 0%.

My specs:

AMD APU A10-7700k Kaveri
4GB RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
A88XM-E45 motherboard

VirtualBox version 4.3.20

I would like to use Windows XP 64bit on VirtualBox.

SVM Mode CPU is enabled of default.

How can I resolve?

Thank you in advance and sorry for me English

I very much doubt that your guest is XP 64bit. That beast is extremely rare, and mostly useless since drivers are even rarer. Your guest is almost certainly XP 32bit.

The error message indicates a problem on the host. Usually, this indicates that the software has not been installed properly. On 64bit Windows hosts you need to use "Run as administrator" to run the installer, and you should be logged in as the correct user (not "Admin").

Has this VM ever worked? Do any other VMs work?

Also, please provide a VM log file: Right click the VM in the GUI. Select "Show Log". Save "VBox.log" to a file. Compress that file and attach it to a message here.

Hi, sorry for the delay in reply, but I have had many problems and I could not answer before.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall VM but doesn't work, always blocked on "Creating process for virtual machine" (GU/Qt)....(1/2)".

Now I have the 4.3.22 r98236.

I'm trying to use other guests in VM, like Windows 7 64bit, Windows 10 64bit etc but nothing, always that error. VM never worked to me but Windows XP Mode works.

For log I can't see: "No log files to show. Press the refresh button to rescan the log folder C:\Users\Xy\VirtualBox VMs\klk\Logs."

VirtualBox does not work with Hyper-v enabled.

Something from Microsoft…
Important
As of April 8, 2014, technical support for Windows XP and Windows XP Mode is no longer available, including updates that help protect your PC. This means that if you continue to use Windows XP or use Windows XP Mode on a Windows 7 PC after support ends, your PC might become more vulnerable to security risks and viruses. Therefore, to keep your Windows 7 PC secure after support ends, we recommend that you only use Windows XP Mode if your PC is disconnected from the Internet. Learn more about Windows XP end of support.

Hi, if I use Windows 7 64bit and in VM Windows 7 64bit I have to disable Hyper-v?

Sorry, I don't know what is Hyper-v

I googled but I understand only that it is used in Windows 8.1, but also in Windows 7?

I thought it is a problem with my APU also, but in BIOS I read something like "Virtualization" and is enabled.

actually I don't know if Windows XP Mode uses Hyper-V or implements it another way but you can't use more than one hypervisor at a time.

As mpack mentioned above you might want to reinstall VirtualBox. There is a new 4.3.22 version btw.
