Increasing base memory
I forgot how to increase my base memory. Running the latest version of box in Yosemite OS, latest update. Guest additions installed. When I go in to the settings with windows closed, the slide bar is non-operable.

Re: Increasing base memory
How does one install guest additions in an OS X Server guest?
Any way most settings can only be changed when the guest is shut down ( not saved state ).

Re: Increasing base memory
That's how I recall it working, however, when I go into VirtualBox settings with Windows shutdown, the slide bar to adjust the system memory is nonfunctional.
Regarding guest additions: When I install the updates it prompts me readily to install the updated guest additions as well.

Re: Increasing base memory
So it isn't an OS X guest but a Windows guest.. Moving to appropriate forum section.
Post the guests log file ( as an attachment )

Re: Increasing base memory
The guest was not shut down. You are using saved state and as I aid before the guest *MUST* be shut down and not saved state.

Re: Increasing base memory
That was it. I didn't realize that closing it n save mode would be the issue.
Thanks.
