Win 8.1 - here: no VM installable

Hello forum,
I'm using Win 8.1 as OS with Virtual Box 4.3.20 r96997.
Importing an apliance worked, with mistake notifications, that doesn't matter anyhow.
Trying to install a Linux machine don't works, because I can't create a HD. The error messages are different. Sometimes they tell me, that the virtualbox.exe can't be executed, othertimes they tell me, that they can't read the memory, other times they only tell me that Virtual Box will be closed.
Is there anybody who knows this problem and especially who knows how to fix it?
TIA,
PG

Different errors have different causes. There is no generic fix everything solution. In the meantime see
Minimum information needed for assistance.

Hello loukingjr and whole forum,
I'm back again and starting the next trial to tell you about my problems with VB and hope to get help.
I'm using a 64 bit machine with 32 GB of RAM.
The guest system I try to install shall get 8 GB of RAM and 40 GB hd with a fixed size.
The host os is Windows 8.1.
The VB version is 4.3.20r96997.
After starting to create the hd VB crashes down with any message.
Other times it tells on this position, that a program mistake stops going on to execute the program.
The third version is the message of a mistake on memory 0X....
Any information about guestlogfiles I can't present, because I haven't reached this aim since now.
A since now unknown window with a mistake message appeared. It seams to be important:
Runtime Error!
Programm: C:\Programm Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxsvc.exe
R6025
- pure virtual function call
TIA and best regards,

Attach the compressed vbox.log for the guest in a message.

Hello community,
I've got an interesting hint for this problem.
I opened an adminstrator console on Windows and scanned the system with the command
This showed me that there are severel damaged files that can't be repaired by sfc. So I'm going to try to solve the problem with a recovery now.
Regards
PG

Just so you understand, it's nearly impossible to help you if you don't supply the information that is asked for. Also, if you are going to post error messages, post the exact error message.
