Hey there,
I've run into a problem with my VMs after updating virtualbox. This seems to affect all VMs. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the product to no avail.
Host machine is running Windows 7 64-bit.
Screenshot:
http://www.evernote.com/l/ADTtmA-KiDNCT ... O-aMAO0FU/
Code: Select all
Unable to load R3 module Z:\Ext Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox/VBoxDD.DLL (VBoxDD): GetLastError=1790 (VERR_UNRESOLVED_ERROR).
Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: Console
Interface: IConsole {8ab7c520-2442-4b66-8d74-4ff1e195d2b6}
Thanks in advance.
cheers,
Brent

VM log file please: Right click the VM in the GUI. Select "Show Log". Save "VBox.log" to a file. Compress that file and attach it to a message here.

Thanks for the reply!
Basically it is the same error repeated several thousand times.
Code: Select all
00:28:27.140690 ERROR [COM]: aRC=E_ACCESSDENIED (0x80070005) aIID={8ab7c520-2442-4b66-8d74-4ff1e195d2b6} aComponent={Console} aText={The object is not ready}, preserve=false

Thanks, but that isn't what I asked for. Please read my instructions again.

Sorry mate, here's everything. Under 1 mb so plain text.

edit: this may not matter at all, but the host CPU is mistakenly reported in the log as Intel Core i7-2635QM, it is actually an i7-2600k.

You have the following lines in your log:
00:00:03.762288 supR3HardenedErrorV: supR3HardenedScreenImage/LdrLoadDll: cached rc=VERR_SUP_VP_NOT_OWNED_BY_TRUSTED_INSTALLER fImage=1 fProtect=0x0 fAccess=0x0 cHits=32 \Device\HarddiskVolume4\Ext Program Files\Fraps\fraps64.dll

...plus some more. Take a look at
Windows 4.3.20 specifically for errors due to security. Try either the TestBuilds, or revert to 4.3.12 and see if that fixes it.

Thanks for the response. I'll try without Fraps and gdipp running. Appreciate the help!

That would be a good start. But it's not enough I'm afraid:
rejecting 'C:\Windows\system32\uxtheme.dll'
rejecting 'Z:\Ext Program Files\Fraps\fraps64.dll'
rejecting 'C:\Program Files (x86)\gdipp\gdimm_64.dll'
rejecting 'Z:\Ext Program Files\Xfire\xfire_toucan64_46139.xll'
Oh, and next time, please attach the log file as a zipped attachment to your message locally, not on a 3rd party site.

I can confirm that Xfire is the culprit. After unloading the app from memory, Virtualbox works fine.
Thanks for the help, mate.
Issue resolved.
