Copy/paste stop working after guest OS upgrade

Copy/paste stopped working after guest OS upgraded to Redhat 6.6
Clipboard is shared in bidirectional mode.

Guest Addition reinstalled a few times and always show the following error:
Installing graphics libraries and desktop services componen[FAILED]

Any suggestion on fixing the copy and paste between guest and host? Other functionalities work fine though.

VBox: 4.3.12 r93733
Host: Windows 7
Guest: Redhat 6.6

Thanks a lot!

Wei

Code: Select all

Installing graphics libraries and desktop services componen[FAILED]
I would check that you have the proper headers and build packages installed. You should also check the /var/log/vboxadd-install.log to see what it has to offer.

Thanks for the info!

Is this copy/paste issue caused by the Windows, VBox, Guest Addition, or RedHat OS?

How do I check for the proper headers and build packages installed?
The /var/log/vboxadd-install.log listed many make commands, but I don't see errors there. What are we looking for in the log?

Thanks again,

Wei
