Thank you in advance for reading and thinking about my problem, already!

• situation:

I am administrating a small business with an old MS DOS-Program. It needs Windows XP or one of its predecessors to run because it uses for some interactions with other software mouse-usability.
Since XP is not supported (by Redmond) anymore, I disconnected Internet for all XPs and will not allow USB or CD/DVD.
It seems to work alright. I have a good daily backup on a modern linux-server and virtualised the server as well, so in case of a problem it can be set up again quite fast.
Windows 7 host has virtualbox 4.3.20 r96997 + Virtualbox extension pack installed.
Both Windows are updated.

• Problem:

But my problem is, that virtualbox xp-guests on win 7 prof.-hosts seem to have a problem to run the ms-dos-window of this specific MS DOS-programm in enlarged mode or fullscreen-mode. If I change the settings of the Programm-link on the win XP-Desktop it seems to forget them or worse, mouse is not available anymore if changed into fullscreen works.

Does anyone have any idea what could solve the problem?
