I am plagued with performance issues on VMWare Fusion 7.1 and Yosemite. I have a MBP 2014 and don't think they are related to the 2011 Mac users...
My question is... how has performance been on the VB side of things? I have never used VB and I don't need many advanced features.... I just need to run Office in Windows mostly.
Also, I use Fusion to run my Boot Camp partition. Can i do that with VB? Is there any issue with having Fusion installed at the same time? I am sure I cannot run them simultaneous but other than that?
Thanks!

Re: Issues with Fusion - Looking at Virtual Box
First the easy question, yes you can install them both and no you can't run them together.
Second, since you didn't include any information on what your performance issues are or what causes them it's more than a little difficult to answer your performance question. I have them both installed and I don't have what I would consider a performance problem on either.
Lastly, it is possible to use VirtualBox to run a Bootcamp partition but it's not straight forward. There is a tutorial in the forum on how to do that.
