This is the error I'm getting while trying to save the state for a VM:

The host:
Core i7 4770K (VT features all enabled & working)
Windows 7 x64, fully up-to-date
VirtualBox 4.3.20
Available memory & disk space is plentiful

The guest:
Windows 8.1 x64, fully up-to-date
VboxGuestAdditions 4.3.20
Assigned 4 CPU's, 4GB memory, VT-x, nested paging, PAE/NX.
128MB video memory, 40GB vdi, Intel PRO/1000 via NAT.

The error is reprodicuble, but only for this guest.

Current workaround: shut down the guest and don't use this feature.
