Hi
i already use virtualbox for many years. on my notebook was a version which is about 5-6 months old installed(for 2-3 months i didnt use virtualbox). for 2-3 weeks i want to update to the last version. after i run the installation, i reboot my notebook, after login windows freeze, i cant do anything. i reboot again, same problem.
so i search for a solution, but didnt find it. so i try to uninstall virtualbox in safe mode, but was not possible. i google for it. the only solution i find was to del the drivers in safe mode. so i del the drivers in windows/system32/drivers(all drivers with vb...). after this i restart windows(host). now windows works again, but i didnt have virtualbox! yesterday i try it again with the latest version, same problem.
any ideas?
i use windows 8.1 64bit with all updates as host.

Sounds like it could be the same problem others are experiencing - see viewtopic.php?f=6&t=64881atik wrote:Hi
