Hi,

I have been trying to properly install Virtualbox for a couple of hours now, but can't get it working. I am installing Virtualbox, creating a new Virtual Machine, then starting it for the first time and then trying to load a disk immage for Fedora. The moment I select the immage, I get the following error:

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Fedora.

Unable to load R3 module C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox/VBoxDD.DLL (VBoxDD): GetLastError=1790 (VERR_UNRESOLVED_ERROR).

This is with Virtualbox 4.3.20. I have tried older versions as well and every time I get similar issues, but at different stages: some crash even during installation of Virtualbox, some when trying to create a new virtual hard drive. I am on Windows 7 an a 64 bit system. I had Virtualbox working on this machine before, but it's quite some time ago, so I don't know what changed. Attached is a screenshot of the error with 4.3.20.

I just realise there is a similar discussion already going on under the topic "Windows 4.3.20 specifically for errors due to security" , so apologies for double-posting. The issue suggested there (with uxtheme.dll) seems to be applicable in my case and I was able to resolve it by running sfc /scannow .
