cannot install OSX 10.7 Lion VM in VBox on OSX 10.9

Hi folks,

I have VBox running on OSX 10.9 Mavericks on a MacBook Pro (Model MacBookPro11,1). Try to install VM with 10.7 Lion, but VM get stuck on booting from InstallESD.dmg:

Does anyone have an idea?

On what level/version of VirtualBox are you attempting this ?

And Minimum information needed for assistance.

VirtualBox is 4.3.18

Take a look at the OSX on OSX thread. Chances are that your computer is too "new" to support 10.7. There are workarounds, including changing the CPU that is presented to the guest. Search for "cpuidset rpmurray" and you'll find a couple of pointers. No guarantees.

looks like tweaking cpu info did the trick:

I've also ran into this problem after upgrading my macbook, 10.7 ran fine on my 2010 model but I'm unable to boot my 10.7 VM on my newer 2012 macbook pro.
