I know that has been reported before and even supposed to have been fixed. I've tried with 3 different files from different locations and get the exact same error message. I have been able to import the .ova version of one of the files without any issues. I am on OSX version 10.9.5 and vBox version 4.3.20 r96996.

No, seriously, can you please provide a link to the problem and the potential fix?
I did a quick search for the filenames you provided. I found the following (I hope I'm right):
- AIR-CTVM-K9-7-6-130-0.ovf -> http://ftp.citrt.net/Upload/AIR-CTVM-K9-7-6-130-0.ova
- GNS3 IOU VM.ovf -> http://heanet.dl.sourceforge.net/projec ... U%20VM.ova
I wasn't able to find the 3rd reference file. I downloaded the two ones linked above. They improrted just fine. No problems whatsoever.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

Re: unable to import .ovf files
Yeah, botched downloads is my guess too. It should be easy enough to verify by comparing MD5 checksums.

Re: unable to import .ovf files
I redownloaded the 1st two and they both had the extension of .ovf I changed it to .ova and was able to install them. Not sure why the extensions were different.JeffinRTP wrote:socratis wrote:JeffinRTP wrote:
