I've only ever put windows boxes on mac or ubuntu hosts.
VirtualBox is running and I can build a machine. Every time I attempt to boot from the OSX 10.6 dvd to install it I get hung up. I'm using an external dvd drive. Which seems to read fine.
I tried to attach the log but the uploader says it's to large at 190kb

1) What's your host model?
2) Have you read Status of OSX on OSX?
3) What's your "recipe", i.e. your .vbox file? Can you attach that?
4) If your log is too big to attach, try to zip it.

The host is a new imac (iMac14,2).
Thanks for the link. I just read the post and tried to make the changes. I was unsuccessful in changing the resolution or the serial number. I took the text and inserted my machine name and pasted that into the terminal. but it said it could not find the machine.
Thank you.

Try copying-pasting the following command:
Now, about your Mac. Your model (iMac14,2) is a fairly recent one, and as such, the 10.6 installer would have no clue as to its capabilities (or its existence for that matter). Take a look at another post I made today and see if that can help you.
