I installed the newly released build of VBox at the weekend and everything was running fine. However, when I opened VBox today, my Windows 10 guest was marked as inaccessible with the explanation:
Cannot attach medium 'C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxGuestAdditions.iso' {431cd72b-324b-4061-9d91-74de4b5d2c8f}: medium is already associated with the current state of machine uuid {170b5f15-302e-4bae-99b4-a960d284dc8f}!.
Result Code: VBOX_E_OBJECT_IN_USE (0x80BB000C)
Component: Medium
Interface: IMedium {05f2bbb6-a3a6-4fb9-9b49-6d0dda7142ac}
Any suggestions as to how to fix this?

Re: Windows 10 Guest Inaccessible
Start VirtualBox and go into the Media manager and Under the Optical Drive tab, remove the VBoxGuest Additions.iso. Your guest should start after that.

Thank you for your suggestion but it didn't help. I eventually solved the problem by editing the relevant *.vbox file and removing the line containing {431cd72b-324b-4061-9d91-74de4b5d2c8f}.

You're welcome. I'm not sure why removing it from the media manager didn't work however. Glad you got it fixed though.
