I am running Yosemite 10.10.1 and VirtualBox 4.3.18r96516. I have three HDs and a CD/DVD that is shared on this computer. Two of the HDs and CD/DVD are connected directly to this other computer while the third HD is connected to a 4-port USB hub where the HD and a printer are connected directly to the one USB port on a 5th Generation AirPort Extreme. In the VB settings Shared Folders is where it shows the three HDs & CD/DVD added Providing that these devices are mounted on the Macintosh desktop then they will also show from within VB running MSW7 otherwise not at which time I can click OK and the VM will startup albeit slow before and after logging in when the desktop shows up. Afterwards, the mouse pointer with the Aero scheme will show that it is still busy. The desktop shortcuts will first show generic before then showing what the icon looks like and the icons in the Notification Area will slowly populate. Dropbox and Google Drive might be causing this issue of slowly populating since it is syncing. Now here is the real issue. After an OS update has been installed, a program update installed which requires a restart or a normal restart is performed, during the restart a multicolored White Noise image will show forcing me to quit VB and Power off the machine. The next time that the Guest OS is launched then all will start normally. Advice?
Yesterday an outage with my ISP caused at the time the computer and network connection to shut down. I have been running Microsoft Excel and web browser with multiple tabs open. After the outage has been resolved both the computer then the Guest OS within VB was restarted. During the start of MSW7 after logging in I would get a dark screen, the wallpaper with image slowly going through this rolling like effect which afterwards the shortcuts and icons from the Notification Area would show one at a time.
I am running 1 Processor, Base Memory 12272mb, 128mb Video Memory, one monitor detected, HDD virtual size 60GB and four shared folders. Advice on all
