Sound wont work on windows 8.1 guest

Been trying to get this to work but I actually need this today. I have win 8.1 guest on mac book pro with yos 10.10.1 and cannot get the sound to work on the host. Any suggestions/help please?

you need to post the vbox.log file

the audio settings for a Windows 8.1 guest should be set to:
Host Driver: CoreAudio
Controller: Intel HD Audio

Ok, found the Intel HD driver and problem fixed. Just took a little fiddling with it.
