No, it isn't possible to emulate hardware acceleration.

If you don't have VT-x or AMD-v then you are limited to running 32bit single CPU guest OS's. Also, you can't run Windows 8 or later.

If I was you I would double check whether your host PC and BIOS has this feature.

Thanks for your answer, my host system il an old dell dimension 8400 and it seems that last bios version a09 doesn't allow hardware acceleration. I've installed an exe file to allow graphic VDDM . Can I update something, not too expensive, to have hardware accceleration and test new Windows os ? Thanks.

In economically practical terms there is not much you can do.

As far as I can tell, the Dell Dimension 8400 used a Pentium 4 CPU, so the CPU itself is simply too old to include VT-x technology. Obviously, your host BIOS can't usefully provide a switch for a feature that doesn't exist in your CPU.

The only fix would be to replace the motherboard and CPU, and that might be expensive. In any case you would have to ask Dell about their upgrade options.

p.s. My search for Dell Dimension 8400 specs turned up several hits on eBay for used or older unsold desktop PCs going ridiculously cheap, and in some cases we're talking much more modern than the thing you have there. What I might do in your shoes is buy one of those second hand Core 2 Quad PCs and then use Acronis or similar to transfer the OS image from your Dell. Though, having said that, Dell OS images are sometimes locked to the BIOS of a particular PC.
