Didn't run first time routine - no bootable medium found

I have a MB Air, I have Windows 8 Pro installed as a partition but want to use VB so I don't have to reboot.
When I opened and create my first VM, it didn't run the first time drive routine. When I go run it I get the no bootable medium error and I do see there is a virtual drive...
I must be missing something obvious!
